What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager- Counterparty, Credit Risk and Underwriting position at Razzino Associates, Inc.?
Our client is a family of businesses that covers several different sectors including fertilizers, industrial chemicals, logistical assets, lawn and garden business, ice melt as well as private investments. They have cultivated a solid network and have operational capacity spanning decades of domestic and international exposure. As business has grown, so have the potential acquisitions, site development and business development opportunities that come across our desk. We are looking for someone that can oversee and manage Counterparty, Credit Risk and Underwriting.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to :
- Manage Counterparty and Credit Risk by engaging business partners to perform diligence and credit risk analysis of clients, counterparties, and credit investments.
- Maintain and improve the Credit Risk framework, while advising senior leadership on our evolving M&A business and Vendors with strategic oversight to develop leading risk metrics
- Appropriately measure and manage emerging risks and products
- Recommend internal credit risk ratings based on a firm-wide credit model and prepare written assessments to substantiate the periodic credit review for rating upgrades / downgrades of potential takeover targets.
- Perform credit portfolio reviews and evaluate potential exposures
- Participate on the Credit Risk Committee by preparing materials that clearly communicate Counterparty and Credit Risk Analytics to senior management by building your own data, metrics, trends, and recommendations
- Use He / she will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of individual companies based on the review of financial statements, credit modeling tools, score cards and third-party analyst reports.
- Structure and negotiate commercial insurance programs as well as managing all relationships with property and casualty / employee benefits insurance brokerage firms and administrators
- Work directly with State and Federal regulatory agencies to update them on business plans; propose and secure approval for new lines of coverage
- Manage claim operations
- Direct the underwriting process
- Manage inter-company loans to provide greater access to liquidity
- Oversee the process for insurance renewals
- Provide risk management and insurance expertise while procuring additional insurance coverage as necessary
