Position Summary

RBCI is seeking a Technical Writer to support our DoD customer. The Technical Writer will be supporting writing tasks related to the acquisition of military medical equipment. This position supports the Fort Detrick, MD location (Contractor office within 10 miles of Fort Detrick) and is hybrid.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure all formatting and content is consistent with Department of Defense and DHA regulations.
• Consolidate medical information from multiple inputs and sources into one flowing, coherent document.
• Prepare and maintain data sheets, word processing documents, spreadsheets, graphical and print / production materials, databases, and / or other software files and information.
• Review and compile documentation and publications for distribution to the force.
• Prepare weekly memorandums, meeting minutes, and other DoD documentation as needed.
• Write reports covering modality manager and DHA specialty leader recommendations from on-site visits to DHA medical treatment facilities, averaging 75-100 pages.
• Write reports covering modality manager recommendations from remote assessments of DHA medical treatment facilities, averaging 30-50 pages.
• Write and edit memoranda, using DHA formatting on DHA letterhead.
• Edit PowerPoint presentations, being sure to use the most updated DHA template.
• Create and edit Microsoft Visio documents.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
