POSITION OVERVIEW: As the Restaurant Manager – Bar-Focused, you will oversee daily operations with a strong emphasis on bar management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily Operations:
- Supervise the floor during meal service, be available to both the team and guests, and ensure top-notch food quality & service. Step in and assist as needed.
- Proactively address guest concerns, resolving them quickly and professionally.
- Foster a positive work environment, motivate and encourage the team while ensuring smooth operations.
- Follow proper managerial duties, ensure all standards are met, uphold cash handling protocols and manage team cash-outs during manager-on-duty shifts.
Bar-Focused Leadership:
- Assist the Restaurant General Manager in supervising, training, and motiving bartenders to provide exceptional service and maintain bar/lounge standards.
- Create and manage bar schedules, ensure staffing levels align with business needs and events.
- Oversee the performance and development of bar staff. Conduct team member reviews and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Bar Operations & Inventory:
- Oversee daily bar operations, manage inventory, monitor budgets, manage bar costs, and maximize profitability through effective inventory control and operational efficiency.
- Manage inventory and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring proper stock levels and negotiating favorable terms.
- Oversee labor costs, drive upselling initiatives
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations while promoting a clean and safe work environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Interested candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of one year in a managerial or supervisory position in the food and beverage industry; preferably with emphasis on restaurant/bar operations
- Bartending experience in a fast paced, guest-oriented business
- Knowledge of various beverages, including cocktails, wines, and craft beers.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A familiarity with labor and beverage costs, inventory control, purchasing and scheduling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Liquor and Bartending License.
- Flexibility and willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Requirements:
- Familiarity with inventory management systems / Restaurant Point of Sales systems.
- Experience managing labor costs, inventory, purchasing and scheduling.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8 hours) during shifts.
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, reach, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
- Able to move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, navigating between front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
- Capability to work in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor dining spaces, with varying temperature and noise levels.
