About Us
We are working with a leading aerospace test and measurement company that specializes in designing custom Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems for commercial and military electronics. They develop cutting-edge test solutions to support mission-critical applications in aerospace and defense.
This is a hands-on hardware design role where you will develop test systems, design circuits, and integrate ATE solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic hardware design, not just test execution.
What You Will Do
Design and develop Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program Sets (TPS) for electronic circuit boards and complex systemsPerform circuit design, schematic capture, and system integration for test applicationsDevelop test strategies and create custom test hardware and softwareAnalyze circuit boards, systems, and components to define test requirementsGenerate and review technical documentation, including schematics, test procedures, wiring diagrams, and specificationsTroubleshoot and integrate electronic circuits, ensuring system functionalityWho You Are
BSEE or equivalent degree with a focus on electronic designMinimum 3 years of experience in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit designHands-on experience designing circuits using schematic capture tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or CadenceProficiency with test instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, and function generatorsMust be a US citizen or green card holder due to ITAR complianceMust work on-site in Irvine, CA, five days a weekNice to Have
Experience with MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, and other military standardsTest software development experience with ATEasy, LabVIEW, C , Visual Basic, or LabWindowsPCB design experience with multi-layer boards, including high-frequency and high-speed designsExperience developing TPSs for microprocessor-based circuits and complex electronic systemsBackground in environmental testing such as EMI, EMC, or MIL-STD-810Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead small project teamsSalary : $80,000 - $140,000 / year
