About the Role

A leading food manufacturing company is seeking a Product Excellence & Sensory Scientist to conduct sensory evaluations and quality assessments for new and existing food products. This role plays a critical role in the New Product Development (NPD) process, ensuring that sensory insights drive innovation and maintain high product quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in sensory evaluation and consumer packaged goods (CPG) food research, with the ability to analyze sensory data, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support product excellence initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing

Conduct sensory evaluations to assess taste, texture, and overall product quality.

Organize and train sensory panels, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection.

Interpret sensory data and provide actionable insights to enhance product innovation and quality.

Collaborate with Marketing and R&D teams to align sensory insights with product strategies.

Monitor and analyze industry trends and competitor benchmarks to inform product development.

Support the New Product Development (NPD) process by contributing sensory and analytical insights.

Manage R&D budgets and handle administrative tasks related to sensory evaluations.

Experience You Will Need

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field.

3 years of experience in CPG food sensory evaluation (minimum of 2 years will be considered).

Hands-on experience with sensory testing methodologies and food product evaluations.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sensory data and trends.

Experience in food product development and new product innovation (preferred).

Excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Bilingual in Korean (required) for collaboration with HQ teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000 / year
