What you will be doing :
Responsible for the design development of transportation projects on local roadways and state highways.
Prepare design concepts and reports through the delivery of plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E), and construction documents.
Provide support in construction.
Coordinate with team members, interact with clients, agency staff, other consultants, and various disciplines in the production of reports, permits, and construction documents.
Supervise and train less experienced staff.
Manage projects and budgets.
Experience you will need :
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
California registration as a licensed Professional Engineer.
Minimum of nine years of qualifying transportation design engineering experience.
Past experience using CAD and Caltrans standards.
Progressively developing project management and proposal experience.
Experience in the preparation of preliminary design reports, design plans, specifications, quantities, and estimates using Caltrans and local agency standards.
Familiarity with a variety of transportation design standards, including but not limited to Caltrans Highway Design Manual (HDM), Project Development Procedures Manual (PDPM), CT Standard Plans, CA Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CAMUTCD), AASHTO Greenbook, and similar guidance standards.
Coordination of environmental and other disciplines for project public outreach, as well as exposure to construction activities, is a plus.
