What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grind Operator 2nd Shift position at RBC Aircraft Products, Inc.?
This individual is responsible for operating various machines to maximize production and quality of a wide variety of products under the direction of the supervisor. Specific capabilities include the operation of grinders, millers, presses, hones, bore grind, race grind, face grind, and other similar machinery. The operator will run more than one machine or type of machine when cycle times permit. Must be able to use measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers and air gages. Must be able to read prints and make simple adjustments to a variety of machines. Must perform simple preventive maintenance on various equipment such as changing filters, adding oil or coolant, changing filters, etc.
Hours 2pm-10:30pm Monday - Friday
Incumbent must be sure all job quality documents are in conformance. May have to transport product to and from other departments as required in addition to keeping the work area in a clean, neat and safe fashion.
Attendance at work is an essential function of the position.
