Sargent Aerospace & Defense/Airtomic’s products are found on many major Commercial and Military aircraft in operation worldwide. Products and systems include hydraulic actuation and valve systems, locking actuators, steering metering control valves, fuse pins, hot forged bolts, pneumatic ducting and valve seals, tubing system alignment joints, engine hot section and structural components, airframe components, shock strut bearings, Teflon lined spherical bearings and broad component maintenance, overhaul, spares logistics and power-by-the-hour support services. Sargent is also a major supplier of hydraulic control valves to the US Navy on all Nuclear Class Submarine programs. Sargent/Airtomic has an immediate opening for a Material Handler/ General Laborer in our Franklin, IN facility.
Primary Job Function:
• Run the product clean line
• Pressure test all required tubes, ducts & manifolds
• Bead blast product
• In process visual inspection to a check fixture
• Polishing and basic blending of product
• Assist packing & shipping when production peaks
• Serve as a backup to deliver parts locally via the company van
• Retrieve fixtures
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Position is up tempo and detail oriented
• Valid driver's license
• Must be able to show proof of legally ability to work in United States
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
• Must be able to pass FAA Drug and Federal background check
• Relocation will NOT be available for this position. Local candidates ONLY.
• Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position
Preferred Qualifications:
Aerospace / Defense industry experience a plus.
