The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities to support strategic decision-making and ensure the financial health of the business. This person must be able to demonstrate a progressive career in a finance or related role and have experience mentoring & leading a team.
What will you do?
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of comprehensive financial reports and analysis to senior management and stakeholders
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close deliverables for P&L and B/S including journal entries, preliminary estimates, and reporting
- Support the development and implementation of the annual budget and long-term financial forecasts for business departments
- Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering professional growth and development
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, reports, and forecasts
- Manage and monitor business specific allocations for the business
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to optimize financial performance
- Drive strategic initiatives and provide financial insights to support business growth and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial planning with organizational goals
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills to manage and develop a high-performing team
- Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and implement financial strategies that align with organizational objectives
- Advanced Analytical Skills: Expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial information to senior management and stakeholders
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address financial challenges and drive strategic decisions
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CFA is preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and management
- Demonstrated experience in leading financial teams and managing complex financial processes
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and modeling excellence
- 3 years in the wealth management, banking, or related industry
- Experience with data reporting, Tableau, workflow tools, and financial systems such as PeopleSoft, Hyperion Essbase, and IBM Cognos TM1
