We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Data Auditor to join our team at a bearing manufacturing facility. This entry-level position focuses on collecting and verifying dimensional and material data for bearings prior to shipment. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, have good numerical skills, and be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. The Quality Data Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring our products meet these standards by meticulously collecting and verifying dimensional and material data before shipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Data Collection:
- Collect dimensional data from production logs.
- Record material data from certificates and production records.
- Input data collected into spreadsheets.
Quality Checks:
- Validate serial number traceability to individual components by serial number.
- Compare collected data to provided specifications.
- Flag any discrepancies or out-of-tolerance measurements.
Documentation:
- Maintain electronic and/or paper records of all collected data, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards
- Organize and file quality-related documents, including but not limited to shop orders, material certifications, and inspection records.
- Prepare basic reports on data collection activities by following the audit checklist.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with quality inspectors to resolve discrepancies and provide feedback to production teams on potential quality issues. Report any missing data or discrepancies to quality inspectors for resolution and containment of product.
- Communicate any concerns or unusual findings to supervisors.
Education/Experience/Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or quality control is a plus.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications and instructions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Strong oral and written presentation skills, effective time management abilities, and robust problem-solving capabilities to communicate effectively, prioritize tasks efficiently, and address challenges proactively.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of GD&T, ISO-9001, statistical process control, and root cause analysis.
- Experience using measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
