What is the Opportunity?

This role oversees and/or manages the design and delivery of classroom and technology-based training programs.

Job Description
What is the Opportunity?
The Senior Manager, in collaboration with CUSO Financial Crimes Chief Administrative Officer and key stakeholders, is responsible for the design, development, and execution of the Financial Crimes (“FC”) employee learning and communications strategy within the region. This role oversees and/or manages the design and delivery of classroom and technology-based training programs.
What will you do?
- In alignment with the enterprise FC team, develop a risk-based learning curriculum for CUSO FC staff within (and supporting) the region, including:
- The identification of role-based skills and proficiency levels within the region,
- The execution of the RBC Enterprise FC framework for skills gap assessment,
- The creation, roll-out, and maintenance of targeted role and skill-based learning pathways that provide a rich employee experience from onboarding to continued education.
- The production of an annual learning plan informed by the risk-based approach.
- On an ad hoc basis, create or oversee the creation, design, and delivery of training content within the region.
- As appropriate, coordinate with key stakeholders to obtain funding and project management support for learning initiatives.
- Collaborate with the RBC Enterprise Training and Communications team to align and manage the communication channels for Financial Crimes staff and key constituents within the region.
- Supporting the CUSO FC teams in the execution of FC communications events and initiatives and align with the RBC enterprise communications initiatives.
- Provide effective performance management and coaching of staff to ensure employees understand RBC’s vision and values and demonstrate leadership behaviors.
- Experience in developing and implementing informal and formal learning strategies and projects within a large, complex corporate environment, preferably with global scope.
- Ability to understand and articulate financial crime risks.
- Proven skill and capability in learning design and development at the curriculum, course and module level in all channels of learning design (including digital multimedia).
- Demonstrated experience managing professional staff.
- Demonstrates expertise in written communication and creates professional and timely communications
- Extensive knowledge of risk and compliance management, and/or governance practices, including a working knowledge of financial crime related program requirements relating to BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and FCPA.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI or Access
- Multimedia experience with digital channels; comfortable with web design tools such as Canva or Figma.
