Job Description

As a Marketing Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and advancing our marketing automation platform to drive lead-generation efforts and maximize engagement with our current customer base. From concept to launch, you will play a pivotal role in designing, executing, and analyzing database marketing activities to achieve sales objectives and enhance customer retention. Developing emails and journeys within our CRM, and optimizing in-flight campaigns, you ll deliver the right message to the right customer at the right time for maximum impact on efficiency and customer experience.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Oversee and maintain our local commercial marketing automation platform to ensure optimal performance and functionality for a decentralized marketing model and seamless integration with sales automation.
  • Develop and execute database marketing strategies to retain and engage customers across all segments, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to ensure programs align with business goals.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute automated sales-driven and marketing-driven lead generation programs.
  • Design and create emails (campaign assets must adhere to brand standards), workflows, and customer journeys using our CRM tools, focusing on targeted messaging and personalization.
  • Manage marketing automation campaigns from concept to launch, optimizing in-flight campaigns for improved performance, including A/B testing, segmentation and content adjustments.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach to customer communication and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with CASL, GDRP, CAN-SPAM, and other data and privacy regulations where 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Operates.
  • Share best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies within and across our business, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement to drive competitive advantage and challenge the status quo.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing automation, database/email marketing, CRM management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Pardot/Marketing Cloud, Acoustic, HubSpot, Marketo) in a B2B environment.
  • Coding experience with HTML, CSS, AMPScript/JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of Contact Builder and Data.
  • Solid knowledge of email marketing best practices, customer segmentation, journey building and distributed marketing.
  • Experience with marketing-driven lead generation and personalized 1:1 messages to existing and potential commercial customers.
  • Deep understanding of analytics and data-driven campaign management.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong content design and creation experience with comfort working within existing brand standards and design systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a flair for creativity and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Familiarity with MC Connector and Subscriber Key management

Preferred but not required

  • Experience with A/B testing and multivariate testing.
  • History of compliance with CASL, GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other relevant regulations.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist Certification.

  • Salary per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).

  • Team members in Vancouver and Toronto are required to work in-office every other week, for three consecutive days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Core hours of attendance will be mandatory from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on these days.
