- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Provide patient education on medication usage, treatment plans, and preventive care measures
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and equipment
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the medical facility
- Assist with coding and documentation of medical procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient care
Skills:
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording patient information
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff
- Ability to provide exceptional patient service with empathy and compassion
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and medical software applications
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant is an asset
