Job Title: Lead Licensed Clinician - Women's Substance Use Division
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified professional to lead our team as a Lead Licensed Clinician in the Women's Substance Use Division. This role is responsible for performing day-to-day operations of WSUDS clinicians and case managers, providing general oversight to gender-specific outpatient services, maintaining a reduced caseload of individuals, and having case assignment responsibilities to the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical service involving intake, assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, managing cases, providing therapy, maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned.
- Exercise supervision over subordinate personnel as needed.
- Provide ongoing clinical and administrative supervision to staff providing services to clients.
- Supervise and oversee the work of staff as assigned; coach, counsel, and evaluate staff performance; address complaints and resolve problems of staff.
- Conduct mental health assessments and monitor level of functioning.
- Oversee IOP and Outpatient Services under the supervision of the Director, including submission of Authorizations for services.
- Monitor and audit clinical and medical records and practices for compliance with regulatory, reimbursement, and agency standards; review and sign paperwork of clinicians as needed.
- Facilitate weekly staff meetings in the absence of the supervisor to discuss client concerns or changes and clinical practice; consult with teams in the planning and development of treatment and discharge plans.
- Represent clients and Authority in court and legal proceedings.
Requirements
- A Master's degree with major coursework in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
- Considerable experience working with clients with behavioral health and/or developmental disabilities in a behavioral healthcare setting.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of providing care to individuals who may be emotionally disturbed, socially dysfunctional, behaviorally disordered, suffer from mental illness or substance use disorders, and their families.
- Thorough knowledge of community resources and human services network.
- Ability to prepare adequate records and to report findings and data effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates, community partners, medical personnel, law enforcement, State and Federal agency representatives, and the general public.
