As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for assisting prospective tenants in finding and leasing properties. Your duties will include:
- Conducting property tours and showcasing available units to potential tenants
- Assisting with the application process, including collecting necessary documentation and conducting background checks
- Providing information on lease terms, rental rates, and property amenities
- Upselling additional services or upgrades to prospective tenants
- Negotiating lease terms and preparing lease agreements
- Ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and laws
- Handling tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests
- Maintaining accurate records of tenant interactions and lease agreements using property management software (e.g., AppFolio)
- Assisting with move-in and move-out processes, including conducting inspections and documenting any damages
```Experience```
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and skills:
- Previous experience in property leasing or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of facilities management principles and practices
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and laws
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell additional services or upgrades
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective tenant interactions
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping using property management software (e.g., AppFolio)
- Ability to negotiate lease terms and handle conflicts or difficult situations professionally
