Pr User Experience Designer

We are seeking a Principal UX Designer & Strategist to focus on an ecosystem of software, app, and on-device UI platforms that deliver connected home and building experiences for our users and professional installers. You will be responsible for engaging key product managers & stakeholders, partnering with cross-functional teams, and leading designers to create world-class experiences at each step of the journey – from install, support and renewal. In this position, you will collaborate with business, marketing, engineering and design colleagues on site and distributed globally. Job Duties:

• Defining UX strategy and design
• Collaborating with business and product management leaders to improve customer experience while delivering on business goals and outcomes.
• Collaborating with hardware and software product teams to ensure the UX supports the end-to-end customer needs for the product portfolio
• Leading designers across the team to deliver excellent customer experience.
• Providing a clear and consistent voice on end-to-end UX design to project teams & stakeholders.
• Creating and executing user-centered designs for products and services that differentiate our brands in the marketplace around the world.
• Working with an interdisciplinary design team to create and constantly improve customer experience and impact.
• Model Resideo's core values and behaviors.

Must Haves:

• 7 years experience in UX design and related work.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent collaboration and teamwork attitude.
• Strong user experience design skills, e.g., customer journey map, experience diagramming, task analysis, workflow design, service blueprint, etc.
• Experience with observational user research, ethnography, insight and synthesis.
• Experience with design trends, benchmarking, forecasting and concept creation.
• Experience with project planning, scoping and execution in a phase-gate and/or agile environment

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in design or related degree/equivalent experience.
• Strong experience and portfolio designing for user-focused experiences
• Experience translating analytics into actionable insights and design recommendations.
• Experience with user-centered design methods including user research, usability testing, iterative prototyping, etc.
• Demonstrated experience successfully planning and executing projects and leading design teams.
Experience in Service Design in order to help define and drive back-of-stage processes and technology to support the customer facing experience.
