What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scientific Project Manager - Contract position at RBW Consulting?
I'm currently partnered with an oncology biotech who is looking for a Scientific Project Manager to assist their Translational Medicine team on several programs. This company has both early and late-stage oncology programs in clinic. This is a 12-month contract position.
Responsibilities :
- Create, execute, and sustain organized project management strategies for multiple Precision Medicine initiatives. This includes establishing governance frameworks with external collaborators, preparing comprehensive project plans, monitoring actions and decisions, maintaining risk registers, tracking milestones, and managing budget accruals
- Oversee numerous scientific projects at various stages of biomarker development, from early research phases to validation and companion diagnostic development, leading up to registration
- Promote effective communication with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of Precision Medicine efforts with cross-functional programs and overall project timelines
- Manage project-specific risk logs and issue records, support the Precision Medicine Team in implementing risk mitigation strategies
- Develop and standardize Precision Medicine-related processes (such as sample tracking, accruals, and contract tracking) to enhance internal efficiency and improve information sharing
- Collaborate with Precision Medicine Program Leads to oversee contract development, including MSA's, SOW's, C / WO's, and NDA's
- Plan, assess, and monitor project activities and timelines to identify potential issues and minimize delays, escalating as necessary
- Estimate and track project costs, proactively communicating any deviations to the relevant stakeholders
- Employ risk management techniques to ensure adherence to timelines, business priorities, and quality standards
