JOB SUMMARY: Oversee operational inventory processes to ensure process compliance and overall inventory accuracy of 99.7% for all customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Manage inventory control processes to ensure overall accuracy of customer inventory is being met.
2. Understand operational processes; Receiving, Put-Away, Pick and Outbound, for each operation to identify how each function impacts overall inventory accuracy. This would include documentation and material flow.
3. Supervise cycle counters to ensure counts are being performed to meet or exceed customer expectations.
4. Oversee inventory control processes across each facility to ensure inventory count requirements are being followed and records are being maintained.
5. Perform root cause analysis for any inventory discrepancies identified. (Overages, shortages and damage)
6. Work with customers to reconcile inventory between operating systems as needed.
7. Prepare Physical Inventory plan and schedule as needed.
8. Conduct training classes with operators to foster environment of process compliance. Emphasizing on the impacts to inventory accuracy when all processes are not being followed.
9. Work with Operations Managers and Supervisors to address process failures and corrective actions.
10. Create or update process documentation as needed to ensure compliance and accuracy.
11. Review and approve operational process documentation to ensure compliance with inventory standards.
12. Maintain and report KPI’s pertaining to inventory to include, but not limited to:
Overall Inventory Accuracy (Quantity)
Location Accuracy
Cycle Counts Scheduled
Cycle Counts Completed
Reactionary Counts Requested (Counts requested by customer or due to possible issue identified by operator)
13. Reports to Sr. Operation Manager on inventory accuracy of each operation.
14. Perform projects and additional duties as requested by management as needed.
15. Support RBW / RBT expansion and growth initiatives.
GOALS / OUTCOMES:
1. Understand operational processes for customer account within 60 days.
2. Establish, maintain, and report monthly inventory KPIs by the 3rd business day of the month.
3. Establish cycle count plan and schedule to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
4. Maintain cycle count records to ensure compliance.
5. Establish plan and timeline to move away from Annual Physical Inventories to planned cycle count process for inventory control only.
6. Implement and / or create inventory control processes and procedures.
7. Help build and manage an inventory control culture throughout the operation.
8. Maintain Inv. Accuracy of 99.7 or greater.
QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires someone who is hands-on and able to lead, motivate and delegate.
1. Possess a bachelor’s degree in business.
2. Minimum of 2 yrs. experience in Supply Chain Management and or Inventory Control
3. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
5. Must be proficient with computers and software applications.
