Summary :

We are seeking a sharp, driven, and genuine Sr. Manager of Procurement to join our client’s close-knit, fast-paced, and impactful company. The role will oversee the company’s procurement process, including contract negotiations, sourcing strategy, supplier management, process standardization / improvement, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will leverage their past experiences to enhance the company’s policies and integration of procure to pay. In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

  • Strategically source, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, gain and apply market intelligence, optimize processes, and collaborate cross functionally
  • Develop and executive functional sourcing strategies within medical and commercial markets and other operational areas.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure superior terms and pricing for operational  efficiencies and service levels.
  • Identify opportunities for consolidation, volume discounts, and long-term agreements.
  • Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities across categories and organization and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement them.
  • Optimize costs, quality, and supplier relationships.
  • Define key metrics and policies to track and report on procurement activities. Provide updates to both leadership and business on updates cost savings, supplier negotiations, spend under management, operational efficiencies, and future initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
  • Promote supplier diversity and support ESG initiatives by identifying diverse and ESG friendly suppliers and integrating them into the procurement process.
  • Oversee the transactional buying function to execute swift and accurate purchasing in compliance with internal standards.
  • Establish and enforce procurement policies and processes that ensure alignment with company standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals. Monitor and optimize key procurement performance metrics.
  • Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry dynamics.
  • Ensure each step is designed with internal control compliance with proper approval and documentations.
  • Enhance efficiency and standardization to reduce cycle times.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance P2P system functionality and automation.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams to align procurement activities and policies with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee the enhancement, execution, and operational excellence of the purchasing process in cross-functional partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical skills to analyze market trends, pricing data, supplier performance metrics, and contract terms to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or related; MBA, Master of Supply Chain, or JD strongly preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant experience within procurement, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation, ideally in publicly traded companies
  • Proven success in sourcing strategies and developing RFPs and obtaining stakeholder alignment
  • Thorough understanding and application of SOX 404 internal control requirements in procurement processes.
  • Expertise in procurement processes and best practices.
  • Demonstrated record of procurement process and policy implementation and improvement across functionally.
  • Strong and confident communicator both in writing and verbally, who can concisely summarize obstacles and answer “so what” questions.
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency and a high degree of initiative and self-motivation delivering high quality output to tight deadlines and in a constantly changing and growing business environment.
  • Data visualization - Excel and Power Point skills
  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP and Ariba.
