Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain a variety of flooring types in commercial facilities, including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile.
- Prepare and level surfaces before flooring installation to ensure a smooth, durable finish.
- Measure, cut, and fit flooring materials with precision to minimize waste and ensure a seamless appearance.
- Conduct inspections to assess the condition of existing floors and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed.
- Coordinate with other trades and team members to ensure project timelines are met.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; advanced vocational training or certification in flooring installation preferred.
- At least three years of experience in commercial flooring installation and repair.
- Extensive knowledge of different flooring materials, installation techniques, and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret flooring plans and blueprints.
- Comprehensive completion of safety training programs specific to flooring work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and physical stamina to handle demanding tasks.
