Safety Liaison

COMPANY OVERVIEW

R.C. Moore, Inc., a leading 3PL company involved in Trucking, Warehousing and Brokerage, is seeking a full-time Safety Liaison to join our dynamic team at our Pittston PA location. Established in 1956, we became 100% employee owned (ESOP)in 2022. We provide a national third-party logistics network to support our various food and beverage providers, and we are passionate about delivering exceptional and timely service to all customers. The Safety Liaison will primarily be the liaison for our warehouse locations companywide. This position will be responsible for effective training, counseling, and documenting all warehouse and lift operator compliance related issues in compliance with industry and company standards. The Safety Liaison will also provide administrative support for the Safety Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership:

• Ability to drive a positive safety culture through education and engagement.
• Respond to Safety related incidents and conduct investigations to prevent recurrence.
• Assist with new hire safety orientation for warehouse employees using established outlines to ensure OSHA standards are being met.
• Assist with new hire safety orientation for driver employees, as needed.
• Conduct site visits between Pittston, Nanticoke and Ashley, PA warehouses weekly.
• Conduct site visits between Troutman, NC and Tampa, FL warehouses as needed.
• Conduct and maintain all warehouse education programs.
• Assist in the development and implementation of safety recognition programs.
• Administer quarterly training to warehouse associates. Order and maintain employee supplies and PPE.

Compliance:

• Keep all OSHA logs (300, 300a, 301) up to date.
• Assist as needed with employment verifications.
• Assist as needed with equipment records.
• Maintain Safety Logs with monthly site inspections for each site.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of five (5) years in a Safety, Training, or related field, preferably within the warehouse industry.
• Minimum of one (1) year of Customer Service experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 Card strongly preferred.

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

EXPERIENCE:

• Safety & Training: 5 years (Required)
• Warehouse Industry: 2 years (Required)
• Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

• OSHA 30 Card (Preferred)

ABILITY TO RELOCATE:

• Pittston, PA 18640: Relocate before starting work (Required)

WILLINGNESS TO TRAVEL:

• 25% (Required)
