IT Security Manager
RC Willey is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented IT Security Manager to oversee security operations, provide strategic leadership, and ensure the effective management of security systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and align the security team with organizational objectives and daily operations.
- Oversee critical security systems, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and event monitoring, emphasizing threat hunting and log analysis.
- Manage log analysis to detect irregularities and ensure timely incident resolution.
- Direct administration and support of security monitoring tools to meet business needs.
- Implement and optimize tools like endpoint protection and SIEM for maximum efficiency.
- Maintain effective collaboration with SOC providers.
- Provide expert guidance to resolve complex security tool issues.
- Oversee patching, risk mitigation, and secure system configurations.
- Supervise the evaluation of suspicious activities and manage escalations.
- Lead initiatives to identify and remediate potential threats using security intelligence.
- Keep the team updated on new threats and address vulnerabilities promptly.
- Serve as Incident Response lead, managing identification, analysis, communication, and evidence handling.
- Develop and refine incident response and disaster recovery plans to enhance organizational resilience.
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- 4-year IT-related degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience in a leadership role and managing a team
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, security, and compliance controls
- Team-oriented with strong motivational and teaching abilities
- Clear, user-friendly communication skills
- Organized, professional, and able to multitask independently
- Exhibits analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills
- Effective at prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated technical expertise in Cisco wireless, IT security, and telecom technologies
Helpful but Not Required
- CompTIA Sec preferred
- Cisco CyberOps Associate a plus
- Past supervisory or management experience
