POSITION SUMMARY: The Business Intelligence Report Writer will be responsible for developing, documenting and supporting standardized and/or customized reports from the bank’s information databases.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Works with business stakeholders to define reporting needs/requirements.
2. Creates ad hoc reports for business as needed.
3. Develops and maintain dashboards and other business intelligence reports for management.
4. Provides application support such as software updates and troubleshooting issues with vendors.
5. Assists in deploying new report writing applications.
6. Provides guidance to less experienced staff associated with report writing applications.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
3-year experience of creating and designing reports and dashboards
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING:
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science related field or five (5) years’ experience with database report writing
Previous banking experience strongly preferred

- Experience with Cognos Report Studio or similar tools
- Experience with Enterprise Workflow or similar tools
- Strong database knowledge
- Ability to read and write SQL
- Ability to validate results back against the database
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Problem-solving, analytical skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to plan, meet deadlines, and manage priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work with and effectively communicate ideas across business and technical groups
