POSITION SUMMARY: Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, alteration, and repair of the RCB Bank facilities and their related equipment. Executes work within established procedures and processes under both verbal and written instructions.

This job is considered a safety sensitive position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs repair or general maintenance work of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment at various sites including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, flooring, ceiling, and painting tasks.
• Repairs and treats structures such as bathroom fixtures, floors, sinks, walls, carpets and roofs.
• Performs minor repairs, troubleshooting, and adjustment of locks on cabinets, locks, closets, desks, and safety deposit boxes.
• Repairs door hinges, changing filters on ventilating, heating and air-conditioning units.
• Services kitchen, appliances, and emergency equipment, reporting mechanical malfunctions to Facilities Manager for action.
• Moving and assisting in transportation of furniture and equipment.
• Sets up and breaks down cubicle partitions, exercising discretion to identify projects that need higher skilled crafts individual’s services.
• Maintains all lighting inside and outside all locations.
• Maintains all parking lots and driveways at all locations.
• EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One (1) year of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING: High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver’s license.
  
  

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Three (3) years of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair of buildings.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING:

High school diploma or GED required.

Currently or previously licensed in a trade: electrical, plumbing, etc.

Valid driver’s license.

• Ability to efficiently use various power and hand tools.
• Ability to operate a commercial lift or any other equipment.
• Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret miscellaneous drawings and schematics.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
• WORKING CONDITIONS Individuals in this position must be able to perform essential functions and physical demands within these documented working conditions with or without reasonable accommodation: This position will require driving to different locations at times which will result in some tasks being performed in venues (internal and/or external of the Bank) rather than the assigned office. There is frequent use of the telephone, computer and other office equipment associated with this position. Individuals in this position are typically at the shop or at various locations repairing and maintaining buildings. The individual responsible for this role must be able to perform job functions with general supervision and work effectively as a member of a team and independently. The individual must be capable of working harmoniously with diverse personalities of co-workers, staff and customers.
