What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Processor LP2 position at RCG Mortgage?
Our nationally recognized residential mortgage team is looking to add an experienced and reliable Mortgage Processor - Loan Partner 2 (LP2) to the sales team as loan volume increases. Our assistants play a key role in supporting the team to facilitate the loan process for our clients and helping us offer them a concierge-type experience.
As an LP2 when you get the loan file, it will be already pre-approved by another team member. You will obtain necessary documents from the borrower, submit the file to Underwriting, work on clearing conditions, assist with the closing package, and close out the file in the systems after it's funded. You will not be doing disclosures or quoting rates.
The ideal candidate will be people-oriented, well-organized, and an effective task manager. Successful candidates will operate with incredible attention to detail and perform well under pressure. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the mortgage industry, guidelines, loan scenarios, and how to navigate through the closing process fast and smooth.

The Loan Partner II will oversee the origination, file management, communication, and revenue of the Loan Officer and Team. This position will be in direct communication with Clients, Realtors, Builders, and Business Partners. This position requires time management, precise verbal and written communication and have working knowledge of all major investors and their guidelines. Every hour you work should save the Loan Officer one hour of time.
Loan Processor - LP2 Top-3 Responsibilities:
1) Collect all Loan Conditions.
2) Manage 90% of pipeline issues
3) Perform all client & agent update calls
Other Loan Processor - LP 2 Responsibilities:
- Manage the loan file completely from contract to close
- Review the client's goals and expectations
- Follow up on additional items/docs that may be needed with each client
- Call and obtain conditions from borrowers and Realtors
- Clear any conditions that require communication to the clients.
- Calculate the borrower's income, assets, downpayment scenarios, etc.
- Be able to quote interest rates and lock loans
- Review and analyze all potential loan programs
- Consult the client about rates, terms, closing costs, and/or financial options
- Maintain the company/team's CRM with accurate and clear information about each client. Complete closing notes after each closing.
- Consistently exceed borrower expectations and Realtor/Builder expectations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Mortgage Industry
- Encompass Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent knowledge of mortgage underwriting guidelines
- Proficient in Mortgage Origination Systems
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
