Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team at a Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in critical conditions, ensuring their well-being and safety.
Duties
- Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on acuity
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, reporting changes to the healthcare team
- Assist in emergency procedures such as cardiac catheterization and airway management
- Provide patient education on discharge planning and follow-up care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
- Utilize electronic health record systems like Athenahealth and eClinicalWorks for documentation
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting
- Proficiency in ventilating patients and managing airways
- Experience with catheter care and cardiac catheterization procedures
- Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and behavioral health interventions
