The Position
As a Project Manager on the commercial team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of projects, from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, in collaboration with the client and internal teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, addressing concerns, and providing regular project updates.
- Coordinate project teams, including subcontractors, engineers to ensure tasks are delegated effectively and deadlines are met.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining project quality.
- Ensure all installations and services meet industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
- Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for project execution.
- Monitor project schedules and milestones, adjusting as necessary to maintain timelines.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure all project activities adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
- Provide regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management in the industry.
- Strong understanding of Plumbing or HVAC systems, equipment, and installation processes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must possess excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in office software
