Position Overview:
Hawaii Nautical is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Shore Support team member to help us with operations across multiple locations on Hawaii Island, including Honokohau Harbor, A-Bay in Waikoloa, and Kawaihae. The Shore Support position is integral to ensuring the smooth and efficient preparation of our daily boating and ocean activities. This role involves traveling between our various locations to assist with the setup, maintenance, and logistical support for each tour. The ideal candidate will be an organized self-starter, possess a strong work ethic, and be comfortable driving between locations while supporting a team-oriented work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel between Honokohau Harbor, A-Bay in Waikoloa, and Kawaihae to assist with the preparation and operation of tours and activities.
- Set up, maintain, and organize tour equipment and supplies at each location.
- Assist guests during check-in and provide them with essential information about the tours and safety protocols.
- Ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of guests, gear, and supplies from boats.
- Maintain equipment and supplies at all locations, ensuring everything is in good working condition.
- Support the crew with logistical needs, including securing safety equipment and preparing boats for daily operations.
- Help with inventory management of gear, supplies, and other assets.
- Communicate with the Shore Support Supervisor, captains, and other team members to ensure smooth operations across locations.
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management or the Shore Support Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (ability to drive between multiple locations).
- Ability to drive a company vehicle and safely navigate between Honokohau Harbor, A-Bay in Waikoloa, and Kawaihae.
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or a similar field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and assist with manual labor tasks.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A passion for the ocean, marine life, and Hawaii’s natural beauty.
- Previous experience in the marine or tourism industry is a plus, but not required.
