Special Education Teacher (K-8) – Chicago, IL
RCM Healthcare is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support K-8 students. This is a full-time position available immediately through June 11, 2025.
Special Education Teacher Position Details:- Hours: ~40 per week
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: June 11, 2025
- Grade Levels: Kindergarten – 8th grade
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and state standards
- Adapt and modify curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessments to support diverse learning styles
- Provide direct instruction and support in small group, one-on-one, and inclusive classroom settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to ensure academic and behavioral success
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, goals, and strategies for support
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations related to special education services
- Assist in classroom management, behavioral intervention strategies, and crisis response as needed
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and training to stay current on best practices in special education
- Illinois PEL with Special Education Endorsement
- Elementary teaching experience required
- Successful completion of the Special Education Content Exam
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- $36 - $46/hr., depending on experience
