Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer
RCM Technologies, a multi-disciplinary engineering company, is seeking a Senior to Principal Level Electrical Engineer with min. 10 years of experience in industrial electrical and power systems design. The successful candidate will prepare one-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, conduit and cable sizing / routings, lighting calculations, cost estimates and bills of material. Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with an emphasis on Power Systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, or ability to obtain Licensure
- Willingness to take an active role in developing and expanding business with existing and new clients.
- Experience with industrial sites
- Minimum of ten (10) years of industrial and commercial electrical design
- Extensive knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, ANSI, and IEEE codes
- Work independently or on a project team and be the responsible electrical engineer leading meetings and design staff as required
- Assist with the recruiting, training and development of electrical discipline technical staff
- Ability to develop and review design drawings, electrical equipment specifications, and calculations
- Ability to conduct site visits and electrical field investigations
- Ability to provide field construction assistance and assist in commissioning activities
- Ability to travel locally and nationally, approximately 10% of the time
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, and successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products
- Knowledge of Electrical Engineering analysis software such as ETAP and SKM
- Experience with low, medium, and high voltage power systems
- Knowledge of industrial equipment, such as – switchgear, MCC's, and motors
- Relaying and protection experience
