RCN Capital - Elite Commercial Servicing is seeking a Mortgage Loan Release Specialist to join our Loan Servicing team. This role will also work collaboratively with the Legal team in terms of Default servicing. The Mortgage Loan Release Specialist will be primarily responsible for managing the release of liens on paid off properties; this includes performing QA on lien releases to ensure accuracy and compliance, research missing items to ensure all information and documentation is present, preparing foreclosure referrals and demand letters, and collaborating with other teams within RCN to ensure a smooth process among other responsibilities. This is a key position that allows the release process to function seamlessly for RCN and our clients.
The ideal candidate for the Mortgage Loan Release Specialist will possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills along with strong organizational skills. The ability to perform accurate data input into a variety of software is key, as well as knowledge of loan files and documents. Excellent candidates will be able to assume responsibility, display initiative, and exercise good judgment, making and acting upon decisions with minimal supervision.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform quality assurance reviews on lien releases to ensure they are accurate and comply with legal requirement
- Verify that all conditions for lien releases have been met, including full payment of mortgage
- Resubmit received release rejections within required time frame
- Research various county websites for missing documentation
- Following up on filings and including
- Prep and scan files or miscellaneous documents related to releases
- Preparing foreclosure referrals and demand letters
- Track and verify recording of releases
- Maintain a daily pipeline for tracking
- Work closely with the Post Closing Team to ensure all filed documents are accurate and up to date on the land records.
- Interact with borrowers, title companies and Investors and outside council while providing courteous, knowledgeable and professional customer service.

Required Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in Loan Servicing
- At least 2 year of experience using MS Office applications in a professional environment
- Prior experience with real estate, title companies, or lenders preferred
Education:
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related fields preferred
Work Schedule:
- Full Time
- Monday-Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00PM
