JOB DESCRIPTION: Day Services Lead
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS: Baccalaureate Degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience related to the field of rehabilitation. Additional training and/or experience in management or supervision. Strong communication and computer skills. Must be authorized for coverage under agency insurance if operating agency vehicle, have good driving record, valid Wisconsin driver's license, and/or required level of personal auto insurance.
REPORTING SUPERVISOR: Senior Manager of Day Programs
GENERAL DUTIES: Responsible for the overall coordination and operation of the Day Services programs. Program areas include Day Services, Special Needs, and After Hours Special Events. Initiate the development of new programs as needed.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Establish and supervise daily departmental operations to include: development and oversight of departmental procedures, staff development, training, staff scheduling, and time card approval.
- Coordinate participant services with Case Managers to ensure that participants’ needs are being met.
- Plan, adapt and implement instructional activities, which will enhance the personal growth, goal accomplishment and community integration of each participant.
- Provide input to assist in the implementation and documentation of each participant’s or evaluee’s IPP/Behavior Plan by providing input to the appropriate Case Manager.
- Work together and lead the other special needs staff to plan, adapt and implement activities, which enhance the personal growth and community integration of each participant.
- Ensure program compliance with State standards, funding agency requirements, and other quality assurance guidelines.
- Assess programming quality and ensure services are assisting participants to achieve their desired outcomes.
- Ensure agency vehicles assigned to Day Service programs are properly maintained and staff are trained in vehicle and transport procedures.
- Provide personal care for individuals as needed, including but not limited to toileting, feeding, personal assistance, transfers.
- Schedule RCS Connects classes via WebEx meeting invites and coordinate with staff to ensure daily class standards are met.
- Coordinate entertainment arrangements for Day Services events.
- Requisition materials and/or desired purchases as needed.
- Provide input for meetings as directed.
- Assist in bus duty performing individual transfers and bus attendance as needed. Transport individuals utilizing agency vehicles as scheduled, including the ability to operator the agency minibus and all vans.
- Follow and enforce agency safety rules, provide input regarding safety concerns, assist participants in emergency evacuations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Day Programs.
