What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Diesel Mechanic position at RCS Grading, Inc.?
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience working in the field of mechanics
- Team player
- Valid driver's license, CDL is preferred
- Drug-free
- Dependable transportation
- Self-motivated
- Has their own preferred tools
- Work with other team members in order to complete tasks
- Reports to foreman and superintendent
- Wear all necessary PPE's as required and/or needed
- May be asked to use a shovel
- May be able to lift more than 50 lbs.
- Willing to work in the climate
- Travel to and from work and jobsites as needed
- Responsible for maintaining jobsites in a clean and accessible demeanor
- Willing to be trained
- Make necessary evaluation and repairs to broken equipment
- Complete Equipment Service
- Change cutting edges and teeth
- Keep the shop and truck clean
- Starting Pay depends on work experience.
- 90 day performance review
- Completion of 90 days, eligible for Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance.
- After 1 year, eligible for 401k plan at open enrollment.
- Workdays: M-F 7 am until 5:30 pm, Optional weekend work depending on job
