RCS Training, a subsidiary of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, is looking to fill a Contract Trainer opportunity in the Jacksonville area. RCS Training provides services and training related to alcohol beverage compliance, food safety, and human trafficking awareness just to name a few.
Overview
Contract Trainers carry out in-person on-site client service and training functions on behalf of RCS Training within an assigned geographic region. Training functions include hospitality service areas such as: alcohol beverage compliance training, food safety training, human trafficking awareness training, anti-harassment training, and food protection manager certification.
Ideal candidates will have experience in alcohol sales and service, restaurant operations in both front and back of house, food safety, teaching and or training groups, sales, and strong administrative skills. Food Protection Manager certification a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Schedules, coordinates, and conducts contractually required client training at prescribed intervals for all clients in the region, and delivers products as needed
- Manages, monitors, and maintains excellent relationships with all clients in the region through multiple means of communication
- Conducts Food Protection Manager Certification training and exams as directed by headquarters
- Maintains awareness of and prevents delinquent accounts through personal visits and communications; collects past due balances; keeps headquarters informed of client status
- Submits training records and other required documentation in an accurate, timely manner
- Completes and timely submits accurate pay requests and expense reports, and other required documentation as necessary
- Responds to phone, text, and email from clients and the Tallahassee headquarter office requests in 24 hours or less
- Provides information to headquarters that benefits the organization
- Obtains and maintains certifications and knowledge needed to effectively sell and service clients
Requirements:
- A valid Florida driver license and reliable personal transportation
- A personal computer and medium to advanced office program knowledge and skills
- A cell phone
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Hours of Operation:
This job requires some weekend work but has a flexible schedule as determined by agreement between client needs and the Contract Trainer. RCS training classes are conducted Monday-Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Each training topic is approximately one hour in length. This job is equal to part-time in its demands.
Contract trainers are paid for work completed as agreed upon with RCS management, receive an IRS Form 1099, and are responsible for all local, state, and federal taxes. Shipping charges for paperwork submission to the Tallahassee office are paid by RCS.
