Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for students in various subjects, including mathematics and science. The teacher will develop lesson plans, assess student progress, and implement instructional strategies that cater to diverse learning needs.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Teach subjects such as Trigonometry, Geometry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Special Education.
- Prepare students for standardized testing through effective instructional design and practice assessments.
- Utilize library services and resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess student performance regularly and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and improve instructional methods.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant documentation.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration regarding student progress and concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of subject matter including Trigonometry, Geometry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Special Education.
- Experience in lesson planning and instructional design is highly desirable.
- Ability to calculate and analyze student performance data to inform teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
- Previous teaching experience at the high school level is a plus but not required.
