Summary
Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function. This role will be enhancing the employment experience at RD Industries by performing a variety of HR duties. This includes a broad array of functions in multiple key areas including recruiting, employee relations, benefit administration, performance management, workers compensation and compliance.
Essential Functions
- Administer various human resource programs and procedures when needed.
- Leads recruitment efforts for nonexempt and temporary personnel; writes and places advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checks; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews.
- The Human Resources Generalist must be both a company and employee advocate, staying close to the employee base while keeping the best interests of the company in mind at all times.
- Be aware of evolving government or regulatory issues and their potential impact on company policies, processes, and practices.
- Assists with career paths development and implementation for all the production employees.
- Administers benefits orientations and benefits reporting.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of department and services performed.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws. Particular emphasis on I-9, ERISA, FLSA, FCRA, COBRA.

This position operates in both a professional office setting and a production manufacturing warehouse. It involves using standard office equipment like computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. In the warehouse, the role requires wearing common PPE, including safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with HRIS and ATS.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Must be Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
- Great organizational skills
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources
- 5 years of experience in the HR field.
