Job Description
RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Dietary Manager for 40 hrs / week in the area!
Schedule : Flexible days / hours. Preferred Monday-Friday between normal business hours
Compensation : $35.00-$42.00 / hour DOE
Travel Compensation : $35.00-$42.00 / hr (For travel time to and from the facility)
Contract length is 13 weeks with potential for renewal.
At least 1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing environment preferred.

Requirements :
Must possess current Dietary Manager certification (CDM) for employment in the state of CA verifiable through state and federal board review.
1 year experience as a Dietary Supervisor in a skilled nursing setting.
Must be able to effectively respond in high pressure situations
Must be a team player
Must have a track record of exceptional documentation and regulatory compliance
Responsibilities :
Coordinate with the Registered Dietitian (RD) in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Food Services Department, its programs and activities.
Inspect food storage rooms, utility / janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control.
Perform administrative duties such as completing necessary forms, reports, evaluations, studies, etc., to assure control of equipment and supplies.
Ensure that menus are maintained and filed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Serve on, participate in, and attend various committees of the facility (i.e., Infection Control, Policy Advisory, Pharmaceutical, Budget, Quality Assessment and Assurance, etc.) as required, and as appointed by the Administrator.
Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of food services personnel.
Determine departmental staffing requirements necessary to meet the Food Services Department's needs, and assign a sufficient number of food services personnel for each tour of duty.
Assist in the development of and participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timely in-service training classes that provide instructions on "how to do the job," and that ensure a well-educated Food Services Department.
Monitor food services service personnel to assure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies.
Ensure that stock levels of staple / non-staple food, supplies, equipment, etc., are maintained at adequate levels at all times.
Place orders for equipment and supplies as necessary or as may be required.
Maintain a reference library of written material, laws, diet manuals, food codes, etc., necessary for complying with current standards and regulations and that will provide assistance in maintaining quality food service.
Monitor and maintain departmental spending within existing budgetary requirements
