What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Apprentice (Copper Install) position at RD&S?
Description
The Construction Apprentice (Copper Install) will assist the Foremen and Crew members in the pursuit of Project completion by following directions related to general jobsite related tasks, as well as the installation of copper piping (Copper soldering, fit up, cutting pipe or wood, picking up trash, gathering material, fire watch for welders, etc.). The Construction Apprentice will report to the Director of Construction.
Hours are Monday-Thursday (4 10-hour days), plus voluntary overtime
Essential Abilities & Duties
- Soldering/ fit up of copper refrigeration piping
- HVAC training a plus
- Desire to learn
- Motivated, hard working
- Ability to retain direction
- Safety conscientious
- Must travel as required stay out of town up to 10 days (not a constant, but on occasion)
- Attend all Company sponsored functions and trainings
- Attend Safety and Construction Meetings
