Tasting Room Associate

RD Winery is dedicated to making sophisticated wines from select regional vineyards that are not only approachable and well-priced, but also offer unique food friendly varietals.

We are excited to build our TR team by enlisting professional, creative, high- energy, hospitality-minded members who possess a passion for wine, people and sales. Our primary goal is to create a collaborative culture that is respectful, dependable and friendly. As a candidate you must be flexible and able to work weekends and evenings as hours will vary depending on needs.

Requirements for all Applicants:

· Professionals with 2 years of experience in sales via tasting room position, hospitality/ bartending/restaurant serving, winemaking and/or sommelier studies and certifications welcome

· High school diploma or GED required. College degree preferable, but not necessary.

· Must be enthusiastic with excellent customer service skills

· Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude.

· Knowledge of the wine industry and food pairings a plus. If you also have production knowledge that is a plus.

· Must be a team player, dependable & prompt with strong work ethic & have a professional demeanor

· Must be able to multi task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to be flexible and problem solve on your feet

· Self-Motivated & creative thinker

· Have general knowledge Napa, Napa history, wineries and restaurants

· Capable of standing on feet for extended periods of time

· Able to routinely and safely lift 45-50 lbs.

· Comfortable communicating in-person as well as on the phone

· Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Overview of Responsibilities, Goals and Tasks:

· Host and educate guests about RD Winery by providing exceptional experiences while focusing on building our tasting room sales and creating lasting relationships.

· Excel in wine sales, provide exceptional customer service and wine tasting experiences

· Pour wines in the tasting room, private tours and tastings and assist at events

· Accurately handle daily tasks as well as POS transactions, including: ringing orders, receiving stock & putting them away & packing orders, etc

· Process phone orders and wine shipping orders in compliance with federal and state regulations.

· Properly perform open/close duties

· Perform cleaning tasks as necessary for all interior and exterior TR spaces.

· Have a food handlers’ certificate

· Manage and prepare proper food preparation, attention to detail on food presentation and execute superb food service
