Job Summary:
A seal coat laborer's job description includes cleaning, preparing, and applying seal coat and crack seal to pavement surfaces. They may also perform other general labor tasks. Some responsibilities include:
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and preparing driveways and parking lots for seal coating and crack filling
- Applying liquid seal coat to protect and extend the life of the pavement
- Filling cracks in the pavement
- Using and maintaining seal coating equipment, such as sprayers and brushes
- Assisting with tasks such as lifting, carrying materials, and operating basic tools
- Following safety guidelines and protocols
- Performing routine repair and maintenance of equipment
- Communicating daily about the project status
- Directs traffic near, in, or around work zones.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
