Studio One Eleven is looking for a Job Captain to join our landscape architecture team!
POSITION SUMMARY
The Job Captain is competent in all conventional aspects of landscape architectural practice with an emphasis on the technical implementation of the project design . Performs work requiring independent judgment and critical thinking. Adapts standards and criteria to project requirements and possess a diverse working knowledge of related disciplines. The Job Captain is responsible for coordinating and producing Contract Documents with support and direction from the Project Landscape Architect, Project Manager and / or other senior staff.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Project Manager in completing Project Manager QM / QC Checklist and utilizing Project Management Road Map Tools.
- Research, establish and adhere to authorities having jurisdiction requirements.
- Maintain continuous flow of critical information between project team members and consultants.
- Assist in monitoring the performance of the support staff that are working directly with the Job Captain and provide assessment to Project Manager.
- Assist staff in development of industry knowledge and architectural skills. Engage in learning and sharing knowledge about relevant new codes, technologies and materials.
- Attend kick-off meetings. Verify site-specific requirements and understand project criteria, design intent, scope of work, and client expectations.
- Continuously review the development of the Contract Documents with the Project Landscape Architect and Project Manager.
- Coordinate the development of project detailing required to convey design intent.
- Monitor the progress, coordination, and quality of documents. Verify compliance with office standards. Review changes and / or corrections with team members.
- Oversee the coordination of consultant documents to align with a project's design.
- Prepare and submit documents for agency review. Review and coordinate agency comments, make corrections and resubmit for permit clearance.
- Assist in the preparation and issuance of bid documents and responses to contractor questions during the bid process. Revise plans, coordinate with consultants and issue addenda if required.
- Respond to RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals. Revise plans and issue CCD and ASI as directed by the Project Manager.
- Lead the construction observation phase of the project by meeting with the contractor in the field to observe construction progress and provide field reports at project milestones.
- Complete timesheets promptly and accurately daily, with minimum timely submission every Friday close of business, and every payroll cycle cutoff.
- Adhere to the policies of the company's Employee Manual.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Salary Range : up to $95,000 annually
