What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pavement Marking Crew Leader position at RDH Contracting Inc?
RDH Contracting is looking for a pavement marking crew leader to join our team based in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate’s qualifications will include but are not limited to the following:
-Be comfortable accurately laying out and installing pavement markings on any type of road or project.
-Have at least 2 years’ experience in thermoplastic pavement marking
-Possess extensive knowledge of thermoplastic applicators such as handliners, premelters/ kettles, and, preferably, MiniMacs, and possess an adequate level of competency for resolving issues arising in the field with such equipment in order to get the job done
-Experience with traffic control to maximize safety for both the team and motorists
-Be prepared to lead and train (as necessary) team members of all ages and experience levels to maximize the productivity and comradery of the crew.
-Ensure that all necessary equipment, tools, and materials are loaded, prepared, and in good working order before leaving the shop
-Know how to coordinate and manage a job effectively from start to finish and keep the process moving in a timely manner.
-Display a passion for performing top quality work on every project
-Accurately measure and keep track of all work completed and turn it in at the end of each day
-Have a valid drivers license and clean driving record. A CDL is preferable, but not required
-Must submit to and pass a preemployment drug screening and ongoing random screenings
-Must be able to work 40-50 hr/ wk M-F with occasional weekends and night shifts
