Position Summary:
RDL Energy Services is seeking a Pipeline Pigging Technician to join our pipeline integrity team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient passage of pipeline inspection tools (“pigs”) through natural gas and liquid pipelines. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in the field under varying conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track the movement of pipeline pigs using geophones, transmitters, and receivers
- Accurately document pig passage times and locations
- Communicate with pipeline operators and control rooms to coordinate pig runs
- Deploy tracking equipment at key intervals along pipeline routes
- Perform maintenance and calibration of tracking tools and equipment
- Ensure all activities comply with safety and regulatory standards
- Travel frequently to various job sites, sometimes on short notice
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or pipeline experience preferred
- Familiarity with pipeline systems and pigging procedures is a plus
- Ability to read pipeline maps and follow GPS coordinates
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Willingness to travel extensively and work irregular hours

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
