As a Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining accurate, up-to-date financial records for our organization. Your responsibilities will include recording all financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and applicable regulations. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Record Financial Transactions:
- Enter daily financial transactions into QuickBooks and ERP system.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of income, expenses, and other financial activities.
2. Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Verify and follow up on outstanding invoices and payments.
4. Financial Reporting:
- Generate and prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide financial information to management for decision-making purposes.
5. Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Assist with financial audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
6. Payroll Processing:
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Calculate and record payroll taxes and other deductions.
7. Documentation and Filing:
- Organize and maintain financial records, ensuring proper documentation and filing.
- Retrieve and provide financial information as needed for audits or inquiries.
8. Collections
- Calling customers daily for payments
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with a CPA firm or Family owned office is a plus.
- Must be comfortable speaking to customer on daily basis
- Proficiency in Excel, including expertise with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
