Job Description

The successful candidate will work as the lead member of the COLOSSUS emerging technology team aligned to and in support of the COMM Technology Group (CTG). The successful candidate will perform normal leadership duties as well as the activities required for the evaluation of emerging technologies in relation to the customer's enterprise architecting initiatives. The incumbent will :

• Perform as the lead COLOSSUS team member to the customer, provide weekly status to the COLOSSUS Technical Lead, provide daily direction to COLOSSUS team members
• Provide IT service and technology expertise across current and future technology domains (such as Hosting, Networks, Security, Desktop / User Facing Services, and Consolidated / Enterprise Management);
• Evaluate new services and technologies and make technology-focused impact and gap assessments, as well as recommendations in support of architecture trades regarding the integration of these services / technologies into the customer's enterprise architecture;
• Develop and implement methodologies for technology needs and gap assessments, development of analysis of alternatives, and resulting recommendations;
• Conduct evaluation of emerging commercial technologies and IT services using empirical data, engineering judgement, and alternatives assessment, and documents and delivers assessment results.

Also, as a functional team member, the candidate may be requested to surge in order to support tasks and projects across the broader COLOSSUS scope according to their specific, personal expertise and capabilities.
