Overview: RDR Utility Services Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced AutoCAD Technician to join our team in the fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our welding operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and draw ISO’s from customers drawing package and also hand drawn iso’s in auto-cad.
- Assist with checking in materials as they arrive.
o Check heat numbers match MTR.
o Check grade to match what was ordered.
o Check size and wall thickness to what was ordered.
- Verify heat numbers for any discrepancies from the iso’s to MTR.
- Record x-ray numbers.
- Scan and file MTR’s, JSA’s, X-ray reports, Torque reports and field iso’s.
- Create Hydro-test packages.
Requirements:
Must be proficient in auto-cad in oil and gas setting.
- Must be well organized.
- Knowledge of MTR’s, pipe grades and sizes.
- Excellent computer skills with programs such as MS Office, Blue-Beam and other construction related software.
- Must have good communication skills and be able to work closely with company provided inspection.
- Must have a good positive attitude and show up for work every day and on time.
- Performing additional tasks pending on Supervisors direction.
