Job Title: Head Cheerleading Coach

Supervisor: Principal & the Athletic Director

Job Classification: Seasonal, Stipend $1665 to be paid at end of the Fall Season and $1327 to be paid at the end of the Winter Season
(amount is based on the 2024-2025 Extra Duty Salary Schedule, subject to change for the 2025-2026 season)

Job Summary: The Head Cheerleading Coach will be responsible for creating a positive, inclusive and safe environment for cheerleaders to grow both physically and mentally. You will be tasked with leading practices, choreographing routines, and guiding our cheerleaders to peak performance during games and all cheerleading required activities.

Qualifications:

• Coaching experience preferred
• Must be a sound teacher of the fundamentals
• Must understand the mind of today’s athletes
• Must have a passion and love for the sport
• A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, assistant coaches, media, and administration
• Hold or be willing to hold a CHSAA coaching certification
• Follow all procedures of CHSAA
• Hold or be willing to hold CPR and First Aid certification

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required)
Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills. Must possess a thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.
