Composite Resources is now searching for a Paint Prep Technician to join our expanding team. The key responsibilities include cleaning, masking, and execution of additional task assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize efficient work methods to reduce rework and scrap.
- Prepare components for cleaning, ensuring all contaminants are removed.
- Accurate pre-paint part masking as per specifications.
- Careful post-paint masking removal.
- Move components safely through various work zones, using manual and mechanical methods.
- Complete documentation in forms and work orders based on quality control standards.
- Alert supervisors to any equipment issues.
- Responsibly use and maintain department-provided hand tools.
- Contribute to other departments for temporary assignments as required.
- Conduct preventative maintenance as needed.
- Operate departmental equipment according to necessity.
- Pursue learning opportunities in paint applications once proficient in preparation tasks.
- Adjust work routines and shifts to meet production deadlines as directed.
- Collaborate with experienced team members for skill development and performance enhancement.
- Comply with safety, environmental guidelines, and departmental protocols.
**Skills and Experience**
- Preferred: Experience in automotive or industrial painting, including skills like masking, paint blending, and priming.
- Knowledgeable about tools such as paint sprayers and pneumatic sanders.
- Strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional problem-solving skills, detail orientation, and flexibility in a dynamic setting.
- A cooperative attitude with the capability to work cross-departmentally.
