Who we are looking for
We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Master Scheduler to develop and maintain an achievable ERP schedule for customer work orders. This position ensures alignment with available work center capacities, resources, and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will excel at coordinating across multiple departments, including Account Management, Sales, and Production, to create schedules that drive seamless production flow and ensure accurate demand forecasting. This role is pivotal in optimizing capacity utilization, improving supply chain efficiency, and enhancing our ability to meet customer commitments with reliability and precision.
What you will get to do
- ERP work center setup and maintenance (shifts, resources, etc.).
- ERP employee setup and maintenance (department, assignments, etc.).
- ERP capacity analysis (based upon work center setup, employee setup, and other factors).
- ERP scheduling and rescheduling (individual work orders, global scheduling many work orders, etc.).
- Reconciling scheduling conflicts, capacity and resource constraints, etc., by working closely with Account Management, Sales, Production, and others to determine priorities. This requires a broad understanding of the business and its customers, in order to assess the relative urgency of various orders, programs, etc.
- Planning activities integrating information external to the ERP, such as customer forecasts, prospective new equipment, hypothetical resource assignments, etc.
- Communicating with Sales and Account Management to target areas of open capacity for new business.
- Managing feedback loops for work order traveler accuracy impacting scheduling (setup times, run times, etc.).
What you bring to the team
- Bachelor's Degree or mix of equivalent experience and education.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of Master Scheduler experience or equivalent experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment (high mix low volume a plus)
- ERP scheduling, production planning, operation planning, capacity planning, resource allocation, resource utilization and efficiency experience
- Key software includes ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- APICS, CPIM, PMP certifications a plus
