This leadership role coordinates a team of highly skilled collaborative program managers who drive strategic programs of significant commercial value and technical or organizational complexity.
Seeking a leader to establish organizational framework, support team growth, and advance Re:Build.
What you get to do
- Lead the PMO team and processes to maintain consistent progress toward program objectives, spanning from opportunity capture to contract execution. Effectively harness the expertise of site leadership alongside contributions from commercial, technology development, engineering, operations, finance, and legal teams to drive success.
- Set clear program, budget, schedule expectations. Coordinate teams, collaborate with commercial team, craft customer-centric strategies.
- You will be responsible for crafting, implementing, and continuously improving processes and mechanisms to ensure accountability in meeting schedules, budgets, and customer requirements.
- Ensure clear communication of progress and deviations to schedule, budget, and recovery/mitigation plans at the appropriate levels of management.
- Identify and manage risks - operational, technical, financial - and ensure that mitigation plans are developed and implemented.
- Cultivate positive relationships with customers, supporting program managers in engaging with customers at the right level.
- Apply high judgement to align program objectives with Re:Build Manufacturing’s strategic priorities.
What you bring to the Team
- Hand on experience in requirements development, present risks and opportunities, resolve gaps, and grow the scope.
- Multi-functional management and tapping into resources without a direct reporting relationship, aligning the team to a goal and driving accountability across functions to meet a common objective.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing and supply chain management, specializing in metal and composite fabrication and assembly for industries such as aerospace, transportation, consumer products, and medical devices.
- Proven expertise in managing large, complex programs across multiple customers or businesses, involving multiyear timelines and navigating technical uncertainty. Skilled at identifying and mobilizing resources to meet demanding technical and operational requirements.
- Understanding of written commercial contracts and ability to translate contractual requirements into operational performance and risk management.
- Technical, operational, and financial acumen as demonstrated by success in running equivalent organizations with relevant technical content.
- Skilled at setting ambitious goals while encouraging an environment for learning and growth, ensuring the successful execution of commitments with excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field, such as electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering. An MBA or equivalent experience is preferred to complement professional experience.
- 10 plus years' experience with a demonstrated track record of success in technical project or program management, skilled in handling timelines, requirements, budgets, and metrics for complex technical products for commercial clients.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role with direct and indirect authority to manage multidisciplinary resources.
- Certifications in Program and/or Project Management preferred.
Additional Information
Travel of up to 25% is to be expected, with occasional increases depending on project needs.
The PMO Director will have an office at a Re:Build site, with a preference for the following locations: · Charlotte, NC; · Cleveland, OH; · Pittsburgh, PA
